Club Expectations

To ensure an enjoyable and positive environment is maintained throughout all club activities, the Committee has established a swimmer expectation guideline. All club members are asked to adhere to these requirements as follows:

CASC Representation

The selection of swimmers to represent CASC is based upon individual times swum within the season. CASC swimmers selected to represent the club in meets such as Interclub competition are asked to make themselves available for all dates of competition. Swimmers are asked to commit to all days prior to confirming their availability for selection.

Club Uniform

All swimmers are encouraged to wear club uniform when competing, swimmers must wear their club uniform when selected to represent their club. Official club uniform consists of CASC cap, bathers, CASC shirt, and black shorts or track pants.

Swimmer Discipline

All swimmers are expected to demonstrate appropriate behaviour whilst representing the club and whilst at all club activities. The Committee will take disciplinary actions if inappropriate behaviour is demonstrated.
Swimmers must also display appropriate levels of attention at Training, and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Member Participation

All members are encouraged to actively participate in all club activities including social and fundraising activities.

CASC Website

The CASC website is updated and maintained by club members, with assistance from an external web administrator.

Information contained on this site is the property of CASC, and the club strives to keep this information accurate, up to date, and informative.
A personal log-in is available to members, who are then able to access extra CASC information.

Please visit the website regularly to stay in touch with club activities.

Calendar of Events

A calendar of events is attached to the Website and posted on the Noticeboard, and is updated regularly.
This calendar provides dates of proposed club events as well as events run by the District, Swimming Victoria and Swimming Australia.

Annual General Meeting / Presentation Day

CASC holds its AGM towards the end of May each year. The incoming committee for the new season is elected and reports from the previous year are presented. A written annual report is made available to all club members.
The presentation of annual trophies to our club members completes the meeting.

Committee

CASC is a non-profit organisation run by an elected committee which meets on a monthly basis. The committee is appointed annually at the AGM held in May, and is comprised of parents and associates of members, past and present. The committee is responsible for the running of the club and the training programme.

Parental Involvement

Parents are encouraged to take an active role within the club. All levels of involvement are welcome, fundraising, committee membership and running of club activities such as club events or Interclub competitions. There is always room on the committee for a willing worker and many events are dependant upon the help of parents and friends. Timekeeping, marshalling, starting, and recording are all easily learnt tasks necessary for the efficient running of club events.

Please note that Parents and Families are politely requested to refrain from distracting swimmers during training.

Noticeboard

Located near the shallow end of the 50m pool at Waves Leisure Centre, the CASC noticeboard provides copies of all recent information to members, upcoming swim meets and general club information. Whilst the club makes every attempt to get all information to all its members sometimes this is not always possible. This is why it becomes your responsibility to check the board and/or visit the website. If you find you have not received a particular notice (for whatever reason) please visit the CASC Website, ask your coach, or email a Committee member.
It is suggested that members or parents visit the Website and check the Noticeboard regularly.
