CHELTENHAM SWIMMING CLUB

WINTER AGGREGATE 2009

This competition will be conducted on selected Friday Nights commencing 29th May 2009 at 7.30pm.

All swimmers are encouraged to participate in these nights, as they help swimmers learn racing skills and rules in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

These times will also be used to help select our teams for the up coming Winter Interclub Pennant competition.
Parent help is compulsory, and everyone is to arrive by 7.15 for set up and marshalling.

RULES

1.    Age of swimmer is calculated as at the commencement of the competition, that is 29th May 2009.
2.    Swimmers must be a registered full financial member of CASC.
3.    For award eligibility, a swimmer must compete in a minimum of 50 % of the total events in the competition, that is, the swimmer must complete more than 10 events.
4.    Scoring is calculated by improving on base times. A base time will be set when an event has been first completed. Then when the same event is completed again the points scoring system below is used.
5.    All swimmers must have a parent to help as timekeeper or recorder.

The cost of the aggregate competition is $20.00 for the 4 weekly sessions.

AWARDS

Awards will be made to both males and females in the following age categories  - 9/U, 11/U, 13/U, 15/U and Open
A perpetual trophy will be awarded to the highest aggregate score received by any swimmer in the competition.

POINTS

Points are only awarded for events/distances listed below:
Each disqualified swim                                                                                        1 point
Each non-disqualified swim                                                                                2 points
Each non-disqualified swim - equalling best time                                          3 points
Each non-disqualified swim - breaking time by up to 1.00 sec.                   4 points
Each non-disqualified swim - breaking time by up 1.01 - 1.99 secs           5 points
Each non-disqualified swim - breaking time by more than 2.00 secs         6 points
