Victorian Government Health Advice on Vaccinations

In line with the current Victorian Government Health Advice, any swimmers over the age of 12 years and two months, and any guardians accompanying children to swim centres must be fully vaccinated to attend.

How do I show my vaccination status?​

Anyone aged 12 years and two months and above will need to show proof of their COVID vaccination status to many businesses and premises. ​The easiest way is to add your COVID digital certificate to the Services Victoria app (which you use to check in at all premises).​

How do I add my COVID digital certificate to the Service Victoria app?

You can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Service Victoria app from the Medicare Express Plus app or your myGov account. Add your COVID-19 digital certificate using the Medicare Express Plus app​

Make sure you have the Express Plus Medicare app. This can be downloaded from the App store or Google Play store.

Update your Service Victoria app at the App store or Google Play store.

Open the Express Plus Medicare app.

Tap ‘Proof of vaccinations’.

Tap ‘View history’.

Tap ‘Share with check in app’.

You’ll see a list of apps that you can share your certificate to. Tap ‘share’ next to Service Victoria.

Read the conditions and then, if you agree, tap ‘Accept and share’.

Tap ‘Add certificate’.

If you see a screen which says ‘Show your COVID-19 digital certificate with an orange button at the bottom which says ‘Add certificate via myGov’ tap ‘Close’ in the top left corner.

Your COVID-19 digital certificate is now added to your Service Victoria app and linked to the QR code check-in function

Add your COVID-19 digital certificate from your myGov account

Update your Service Victoria app at the App store or Google Play store.

Open the Service Victoria app and click on ‘Add certificate via myGov’.

Log in to your myGov account. If you don’t have a myGov account, get one at myGov account.

Scroll to ‘proof of COVID-19 vaccination’ and tap ‘Go to Medicare’

Tap ‘View History’

Scroll down and tap ‘share with check-in app’.

Tap ‘Service Victoria’.

Once you’ve read the conditions, if you agree, tap ‘accept and share’. You’ll see the message: ‘Sending certificate’.

Once you see your COVID-19 digital certificate, tap ‘add certificate’. You may need to open your Service Victoria app again to complete this step.

Your COVID-19 digital certificate is now added to your Service Victoria app and linked to the QR code check-in function

What happens when I have the COVID digital certificate added to the Service Victoria app?

​When you check into a premises using the Service Victoria app, your confirmation screen will now show a green tick to show that you’ve checked in, your name and the words "valid certificate"
